How to Achieve Born-with-It Beauty

Are you’re tired of waking up in the morning an hour early to do your face, straighten or curl your hair, find a perfect pair of shoes for the day to make you seem taller and a perfect pair of jeans to hide your tummy? Well, it’s time to ditch those unhealthy habits and, instead of hiding your flaws, try to embrace or improve them in a natural and healthy way. Here’s a little guide on how to achieve that natural born-with-it beauty that’s easy, healthy, gorgeous and sustainable.

Love your skin

Heavy makeup will definitely clog your pores and ruin your skins’ naturally glowy and soft look. So, go easy on your foundation while boosting your skincare routine. Plus, with skincare, you can go 100% natural! For instance, coconut oil can help strengthen your skin, remove dead skin cells, offer sunburn protection and even prevent all sorts of bacterial, viral and fungal infections. Many manufacturers of skin care products are also launching all sorts of great natural products from all-natural serums to organic moisturizers and clarifying face oils.

Soft coverage

If you can’t let go of your foundation and concealer, use them sparingly. Opt for a very thin consistency of your foundation that will give you a silky base that will enhance your complexion instead of concealing it. You can also start spot-applying concealer to achieve a flawless yet soft look.

Nurture your hair

So, instead of burning your hair senseless, nurture it with natural beauty products that will allow it to recover from all the heat and chemicals. Plus, extensions are so last year, so you need to boost your natural hair look. Just keep in mind that your hair needs some time to recover and ‘detoxify’ from chemicals and switch to natural products. Additionally, you can help your hair with some supplements. There are amazing hair supplements on the market today that do wonders for hair growth support. These products are filled with all types of vitamins (B6, B12, C, E) that will make your hair strong, silky and smooth. Plus, these vitamins are great for your overall health, which is just an added bonus.

Go easy on the mascara

If you’re not ready to go bare with your eye makeup, you can at least aim for low-key lashes. A great way to achieve this look is to grab a tissue and blot some of the extra product from the mascara. This will create a more natural look with zero clumps. You can also find a good primer for your lashes. It tints them and gives them a little boost but always achieves a softer look than the mascara. This will give you that born-with-it vibe and help you transition from heavy eye makeup to a bare look.

Take care of your lips

The skin on your lips is much thinner than the rest of your face, which makes it vulnerable to painful cracking. So, in order to improve the health of your lips and give them a plump look without lipstick and lip gloss, exfoliate your lips and apply a natural lip balm (or a homemade concoction).

Opt for nude lips

If you feel more comfortable with some lipstick on, this is a no judgment zone. You can opt for a nude lip look, but remember that it’s really hard to achieve a natural nude lip because there’s a thin line between a perfectly rosy-pale look and too dark to be natural. You can either find a personalized formula and color or check your MAC and Bobbi Brown stores. They both have a great offer of natural colors that will give you a subtle, natural look. You can also try Tint-in-Oil from Yves Saint Laurent that activates in touch with your lips and gives you a barely detectable look that will make it seem like you have naturally soft and glossy lips.

Give love to your nails

If you have unhealthy nails the easiest thing to do is just cover them with nail polish. However, most formulas use harsh chemicals that can further affect your nails. So, instead of hiding your imperfections with damaging products, try buffing your nails and treating them with a natural nail-strengthening treatment. There are also companies that make less toxic polishes and removers, so make sure to do your research.

These simple tips and tricks will help you achieve that natural glow and even inspire you to try a zero-makeup look. Plus, going easy on makeup is healthier and more eco-friendly!

There is a reason why Sydney attracts millions of visitors every year and one of them is its undeniable beauty. The magnificent architecture, surprisingly lavish greenery and rolling waves make this Australian city a breathtaking experience. So, it’s no wonder that Sydney is full of Instagrammable places you simply must visit and snap some pictures.

However, since the city is pretty big you will find that there is a multitude of these opportunities. Therefore, if you find yourself in Sydney, you must visit the following top Instagrammable places. Without a doubt, these will give you a great experience and like-worthy photos.

Wendy’s Secret Garden

Once you enter Wendy’s Secret Garden near the Harbour Bridge you will start looking for fairies and magical creatures. This spread of greenery on merely a hectare of land is full of life in the middle of one of the most urbanistic cities in the world. Fig trees, palms, and numerous flowers make this a popular destination to take a break but also to immortalize some moments for Instagram.

Bondi Icebergs Pool

Not only will you be able to swim on the edge of the sea, but Bondi Icebergs Pool is a perfect spot to enjoy the view of the horizon. Located on the popular Bondi Beach as part of the Icebergs Club, these pools are a perfect way to cool off and relax. The waves constantly crash on the pool’s edges and that is how it’s filled with fresh saltwater, which is also a perfect time to snap a few selfies.

Wedding Cake Rock

Wedding Cake Rock looks like a nicely shaped dessert, but its sweetness is beyond its looks. Situated in the Royal National Park this white landmark offers a beautiful view on the neverending blue of the water and sky. But, what makes it even more attractive is the notion that it’s naturally sinking so that would make this spot even more desirable photo destination.

Angel Place

In a quiet alley of the CBD, you will easily find one of the most photo-worthy spots in Sydney. Fittingly named Angel Place is a home to art installation Forgotten Songs which consists of 50 bird cages hanging from wires above. This is a unique sculpture which plays bird recordings in order to remind people that Sydney was once a home to such lovely animals.

The Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art features extraordinary work from artists all over the country and world. However, you will often see people taking a picture in front of the building for its modern and extravagant design. There are more than 4,000 pieces on exhibition by local artists, while MCA Café is a nice spot to have some coffee and take photos of the Sydney Opera House.

The Strand Arcade

The moment you step from your modern suites in Sydney into the Strand Arcade you will feel like you time traveled to 1920s. This is a fashion hub with Victorian-style architecture that offers designer labels, jewelry stores, but also some elegant cafés. If you want to make some captivating photos in a romantic setting, then make sure to visit the Arcade Strand during the day when the light falls through tinted windows onto balustrades.

The Grounds of Alexandria

The most stunning spot to have coffee in Sydney is certainly the Grounds of Alexandria which is a warehouse turned into a farm. The venue is extremely popular and always packed with visitors who come here to grab a lunch or simply enjoy the ambiance. This is also the home of the famous Russell Crow the rooster and Kevin Bacon the pig who will certainly be an interesting model for the photo.

Mount Wilson

Mount Wilson is one of the must-visit places during spring and summer since it consists of numerous Instagrammable gardens. Located in the famous Blue Mountains, this place is only two hours away from Sydney and one of the favorite getaways for Sydneysiders. The colorfulness of the trees will help you create perfect photos even with your smartphone so make sure that the battery is full.

Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House is one of the classic Instagrammable places that everyone likes to stop by when in the city. The glossy and matte tiles make this structure look astounding during all hours so you will always be able to snap a good picture. You can join one of the tours of the Opera House and take pictures inside, or admire it from afar to capture its whole recognizable shape.

Bare Island

Bare Island may be a great spot for scuba diving, but it is wonderful for sightseeing as well especially if you want something less urban to see. The island is connected to the mainland with a narrow bridge and it is now one of the most popular locations to take pre-wedding photos. Once a military fort, Bare Island hosts guided tours every Saturday for those interested in the Australian history.

All in all

You will certainly find more Instagrammable places in Sydney but these are ideal to start from. Just strike your best pose and let your surrounding do the rest.

Top Tips for Always Travelling in Style

Whether you are heading out for business or for a big vacation with friends or family, there is always something you can do to make sure you are stepping out in style. Here are our top tips for making sure you always look and feel like your best.

When it comes to your airport outfit, you cannot go wrong with elegant and comfortable. If you know you are heading to a business meeting when you step off the plane, dress business casual and have a smart blazer ready to whip over the top of everything else.

Avoid anything potentially tight or restrictive like jeans but at the same time don’t head for complete comfort with sweatpants. A nice pair of leggings or loose trousers will be perfectly adequate and will keep you looking sharp.

For your tops, stay away from anything think and heavy and instead dress in layers of breathable fabrics like cotton. Airports and planes can have some quite heavy air conditioning but your destination might be quite warm. Layers allow you to scale clothing up or down quickly and effortlessly without necessitating a whole outfit change.

Flats are a must when it comes to shoes. Slip some heels into your carry-on if you need them but navigating the airport should always be done in flats. Choose a smart slip-on pair to look chic while not holding up the queue at security.

Get Yourself to the Airport

Who needs to worry about shuttle buses or taxis when you have your own car? Parking at the airport is easier than ever before and it may even be more cost-effective than a taxi if you are only going to be away from a few days. Take, for example, parking at Bristol Airport. You can drive your own car there with plenty of time to spare, hand over your keys to a parking representative, and make your entrance to the terminal.

Meanwhile, the parking representative will take your vehicle to a secure compound where it will stay until your return flight. Then you just need to head out and pick it up. It is really that simple and will turn any airport journey into seamless ease. If you would like more information, you can follow this link for parking options.

Pack Your Carry-On Carefully

Let’s have a quick word about the carry-on before we go into more detail. There are many fabulous four-wheeled options with a hard shell available for you to try on the market. The great thing about hard-shell suitcases is you can’t stretch them to the limits like you can with a soft-shell. Their finite space will help to keep you well within the luggage allowances; as well as keeping your personal belongings nice and safe.

When packing your carry-on, there are some things which you should always include. If you have a checked bag, take some spare clothes in your carry-on just in case your suitcase gets lost. Something else may even happen; a tiny bit of turbulence could send your seat-neighbour’s red wine tumbling onto your crisp white oxford. Make sure you also include a little hygiene kit. Some deodorant, some moisturiser, and a spritz of your favourite perfume or cologne after you land will work wonders for your mood and your energy levels.

If you are travelling with just a carry-on, the art of the capsule wardrobe must be learned. Pick some key basics and a few interchangeable staples that can easily be mixed to make a dozen effortless looks.

Know Where You are Going

If you have never visited your destination before, take some time to learn everything you can before you leave. Research the area around your hotel and find out exactly where the hotspots are. A café, a restaurant, a convenience store, and a bar are all good things to know the location of before you go. You can also ask at your hotel for recommendations.

It would also be helpful to learn a few phrases of the native language of the country you are visiting. Even basics like “thank you” will get you far and may potentially open doors to you. People are always willing to be a little nicer to you if you can show that you have made the effort. If you want to take on the role of the glamourous jetsetter, a polite smile and a handful of phrases in half a dozen languages will take you far.

Learning how to travel the world in style is easier than you think it might be. If you are just beginning to travel, investing in some staple pieces like good-quality hand luggage and the right travel clothes are brilliant places to start. Before long, you will always be stepping out in style every single time you step off a plane.
